BBL surgery, or a Brazilian Butt Lift, is rapidly becoming a procedure that people in today’s culture are excited about. Are you looking for a perkier bottom like Kim Kardashian or Jennifer Lopez? Dr. Mark Lowney, at Advanced Body Sculpting, is a skilled cosmetic surgeon who has performed natural-looking enhancement procedures on many patients. His experience can lead to amazing results.

HOW DOES BBL SURGERY WORK?

BBL surgery at Advanced Body Sculpting is deemed minimally invasive. “SAFER BBL,” is the trademarked name for the approach that Dr. Lowney uses. Rather than using general anesthesia, a local anesthetic is utilized. This approach is less invasive that a traditional Brazilian Butt Lift procedure.

The practice is a combination of two cosmetic procedures, “LIPO360” with a “FAT TRANSFER TO BUTTOCKS.” A LIPO360 involves liposuction of a person’s core area. This is the upper and lower abdomen, love handles, and upper bra bulge areas. Once the fat is taken out, it is injected back into the buttocks using the SAFER BBL practice. The blend of these two techniques can result in a perkier and more youthful-looking buttock.

BBL surgery typically lasts four hours. The LIPO360 portion can take three to four hours, and the fat transfer to the buttocks lasts about 30 minutes. While BBL surgery patients at Advanced Body Sculpting have given rave reviews, many future patients are curious about post-op care. The LIPO360 part of the procedure might cause soreness, but the fat transfer is said to be nearly painless. Most patients go home with minor discomfort.

Patients will be back in the office 24 hours after BBL surgery. Dr. Mark Lowney will then see them again in one week to remove the drain. One drain is normally placed across the lower back where fluid typically accumulates. Patients who live locally are seen one month and six months later.

Most patients go back to work and resume their regular routine, on average, in two weeks.

DOES BBL SURGERY LAST?

BBL surgery at Advanced Body Sculpting is said to last forever.* With proper fat harvesting and reinjection techniques, the fat transfer should not disappear. Sometimes patients do lose up to 30% of fat in the first six months post-op.

Living a healthy lifestyle is also an important factor in maintaining the results from a butt lift procedure. Eating whole foods and exercising at least 20 minutes per day, will enhance the outcome. Weight gain or weight loss can affect the transferred fat because it is a living tissue. If a patient gains weight, the fat cells will increase in size, and so will the lift. If they lose weight, they will decrease, along with the lift.
